Shopping Terms and Conditions
- VAT: All prices are exclusive of VAT at current UK rate for all UK and EU deliveries. VAT will not be charged for all EU countries including Ireland producing a vat registered document or letterhead. All non EU countries will not be charged VAT.
- Non-Faulty Goods. Please let us know if you wish to return goods within 7 days of the original delivery date. All goods are sold as described and for the purpose intended. No returns will be accepted for goods wrongly ordered unless authorised and must be returned at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods so you should take out postal insurance to cover them. Any returns after this time will be refunded the cost of the goods less a 10% handling charge for packaging also less our cost of shipping provided they are in original packaging and fit for resale.
- We cannot accept responsibility or return of goods incorrectly wired or connected to a power supply. Please always consult a qualified Electrician if in any doubt.
- Please ensure all orders are checked on receipt for shortages or damage. Claims have to be made within 48 hours of your delivery as recorded by our carriers or a claim will be refused.
- WEEE regulations. The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive is now UK law. Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. We offer a free "take-back" service for any item covered (Such as energy saving lamps) under the WEE regulations when you make an equivalent purchase from us in the last 28 days. The item must furfill the same functions as the new item and must be returned at your expense. All new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
- Tradesman Electrical Distributors will in no way be liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electricians fees, time taken off work etc. or any other indirect or consequential loss.
- Whilst Tradesman Electrical Distributors will try to ensure that prices on our shopping site are accurate, we are not responsible for errors that may occur, as a contract does not exist until we have taken the money and checked pricing. If we discover any errors in the price of goods or on the invoice after delivery, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to re-charge your order at the correct price or cancel the order.
- Delivery charges: FREE Delivery for Mainland UK Parcels (Orders under £50 excluding vat, will be charged £4.99 + vat). If the wrong delivery option is selected we reserve the right to charge you the difference. Heavy items beyond 50kg might incur extra delivery charges and we reserve the right to charge extra after seeking your permission
- Delivery: Charges extra for Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight & Isle of Man. Channel Isles.
- Deliveries: Unless excluded by you on the order, we will always require an authorised signature when delivering goods to you. Additional attempted deliveries will incur extra charges and a delay in delivery.
- European and Continental shipments - We reserve the right to vary the cost of £35 (either higher or lower) to whatever the actual cost price is for shipping to your desired country.
- European and Continental guarantees - UK guarantee will still be valid, but goods must be returned to ourselves and return shipment out of the UK paid by yourself.
